Red Winter Kale
Red Winter kale is a rare varietal that is considered to be perhaps the most tender of all the kale plants. An improved type of Red Russian kale, the two plants look similar with broad, purple-veined leaves that resemble oak leaves in shape.
Green Curly Kale
Curly kale is the common variety that you see at the greengrocer and supermarkets. This type of kale has oblong or obovate-shaped leaves with white veins; the fleshy and waxy leaves are attached to long, strong, and fibrous stems
Dinosaurs kale
Dinosaur kale is a different type of kale when placed side-by-side with the curly variety — its leaves are not curly but are rather flat, bumpy and narrowly shaped with a dark green to deep blue-green hue. They are an excellent green for salads but are also suitable for stir-frying and soups.
Blue Scotch Kale
Blue scotch kale is a large-leaf kale variety that produces many leaves per plant, dark green in color, and tightly crinkled. The leaves are sweet, tender, and crunchy especially when harvested after exposure to cool frosty weather. It is often seen as a garnish, however; this kale is a superfood! Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, this variety is perfect for juicing. It is also suitable in juicing, salads or chips
